World patent

The development of MYWEBSPORT until today was a heart-pounding journey into the future. Also today the journey continues, in order to meet requirements and possibilities today and in the future. Inventor and today's CEO is the Tyrolean Thomas 'Jimmy' Riml. MYWEBSPORT is protected by an international patent.

The first milestone was the completion of a prototype on March 20th, 2009. On May 20th, 2009 the prototype was presented to the public for the first time.

A patent was applied for MYWEBSPORT on April 17th, 2008 at the Austrian Patent Office under the title of „APPLIANCE TO CARRY OUT A SPORT OR GAME WHICH TAKES PLACE AT DISTANT SITES“. In April 2009 the registration for PCT (international registration) took place.

The visionary describes his motive as follows: More than 20 years ago I started to play billiards passionately. Within two years I could not find any adequate opponents in my sorroundings. In order to improve my play I went from Innsbruck to Vienna regularly, since I had appropriate training partners there. This was the reason why already in the beginning of the 90ies I started to think about how I could make it possible to play or train with somebody who is far away from me. One possibility would have been to transfer the coordinates after each inning by telephone or by any other means. Since this seemed to be very cumbersome probably only one trial game would have been played. Due to the development of the technology (internet, image processing) it is now possible to play billiards remotely. In the patent application it was taken care of that the system can also be used for other games and sports.
