Double victory for Erlangen at the 20th WHR, Tay-Dien Truong triumphs ahead of Marcel Back

The anniversary edition of our three cushion tradition tournament Weekly High Run with a total prize money of € 1,000 was firmly in German hands.

Blog entry from 2020-09-22

From July 13th to September 20th 2020, 18 participants competed for the tournament victory. Early on, a three-way battle for the top crystallized out between the two players from Erlangen and Karsten Witte from Berlin, who ultimately just had to admit defeat to his opponents, finishing in third place. The race for the top podium was even closer, only 2 ranking points more in the account gave Truong the decisive factor for victory in the overall standings.

Tournament page with all results & information

The overall ranking was made up of 10 tournaments, 1 tournament was played in each ranking week. Witte dominated the first third of the tournament series with 3 wins, the two following thirds belonged to Truong with 4 wins and Back with 3. Truong and Back achieved double-digit high runs, both scored once each a series of 10 points.

At Weekly High Run predetermined positions must to be solved by the players. If the point is scored then the run will be played to the end. The runs scored by the players are compared with each other, the highest series scored counts before the next highest, etc.

Already in October the 21st WHR with its competitions 177 to 186 will start. From October 5th to December 13th, 10 tournaments will be played for a total prize money of € 1,000. If possible, we would like your feedback and your ideas / wishes / criticism to flow into the conception of the 21st WHR, please write to us by the end of September to sports@mywebsport.com, thank you.
