Oranje storm to the top of the Home Tour

The Dutch doubles Driessen jr. / Kroonen triumphs in the five pins tournament without losing a set. Schmied / Truong capture the three cushion title.

The fifth tournament weekend of the Royal Pro Home Tour ended with clear start-finish victories for the favored teams Schurli's Base Camp (three cushion, Jan 29) and Ernst-Jan's Base Camp (five pins, Jan 30). In the line-up of Georg Schmied and Tay-Dien Truong, Schurli's Base Camp remained unbeaten in the three cushion tournament, with the German-Austrian doubles team from Rosenburg-Mold (AT) having to go the full distance twice and only winning in the decider with 4:3 sets. The next day the Oranje from Helmond (NL) were untouchable in the five pins tournament, Ernst-Jan Driessen and Marius Kroonen won with a flawless record of 4:0 matches and 8:0 sets.

With their third win each in the current season, Georg Schmied and Marius Kroonen are leading the Home Tour discipline rankings. Schmied leads the three cushion ranking with a respectable distance, Kroonen shares the lead with his congenial team partner Driessen jr.

The three cushion ranking at halftime in the 2021/22 circuit:

The Royal Pro Home Tour is an international carom billiards tournament series that is played online via the MWS system at various MWS locations worldwide. On 05/06 March 2022 the next two Home Tour competitions will take place, all dates and details can be found on our dashboard. For the 2021/22 sports season, the Tour is endowed with prize money in a total height of € 10,000.
