MWS systems can be purchased as new systems and as used systems. New systems come from the factory with the latest hardware, some used systems have older hardware components installed. The software for the systems is constantly being further developed, the software updates are automatically delivered and installed on all compatible systems that are in operation. We implement new features as backwards-compatible as possible in order to also equip older systems with the latest functions. However, some further developments - this is in the nature of things - can only be provided for newer systems that meet the necessary hardware requirements.

General

We offer various financing models for MWS systems, from purchase to rental. For new systems there are the variants purchase, leasing, rental and title sponsoring. For used systems, the sales conditions must be agreed separately with the seller. The various financing models differ in their one-off and ongoing costs for acquiring and operating a system.

(General) Included system components

A MWS system consists of hardware components and software for operation. The system hardware includes a terminal (*) with a touchscreen for function control of the system, a camera box (**) with camera and laser technology for recording the ball path lines and displaying the ball positions, a remote control for controlling the system and placing the balls, as well as a webcam (*), flat screen (*)(***) and headset for multimedia conference circuit and communication between two remote locations. An upright maintenance fee is mandatory for the operation of a MWS system.

(General) System and installation requirements, delivery times

For the installation and operation of a MWS system, specific requirements must be met at the location, which must be clarified individually (powerful and stable internet connection and structural conditions). The expected delivery time must be clarified individually too.

(General) One-time and ongoing costs

Acquisition and operation of a system are tied to one-time and ongoing costs, which differ depending on the financing model. One-off costs include the installation fee and the purchase price or a lease down payment and residual payment. Ongoing costs are due monthly and include any leasing installments or rental fees as well as the maintenance flat rate (usage fees for 3 users included) and any additional usage fees. For the operation of a MWS system an upright maintenance flat rate is mandatory. Minimum terms and commitments as well as further details can be found in the respective financing model.

(General) Price adjustments

The maintenance flat rate and the user fees are adjusted according to the respective requirements: Index adjustment, price increases/decreases from suppliers (server costs, other cost increases/decreases).

New systems

New MWS systems can be bought, leased and rented. These three tariff models differ in their respective balance of one-time and running costs as well as the contract terms and the ownership structure. The tariff variants are broken down transparently in the price table below. Regardless of the chosen tariff variant, a system is always delivered with the full range of functions of the current state of development at the time of delivery to the customer.

For bulk orders with a quantity of 3 or more systems we give quantity discount, which is to be agreed individually. We offer a franchising license model for B2B customers who would like to commercially distribute MWS systems and service locations.

(New systems) Device warranties & compatibility

Hardware that is manufactured by MWS has a warranty for 5 years from commissioning. The manufacturer's respective warranty applies to hardware that is manufactured by another manufacturer (third party product). MWS attaches great importance to the compatibility of the system with subsequent system generations. MWS guarantees for 5 years from commissioning of a new system the basic functionality of the system - remote billiards - and therefor, if necessary, exchanges the necessary hardware components within this period free of charge. Upgrades exceeding this limit as well as replacement and repair of hardware outside the warranty must be paid by the customer.

(New systems) Prices, tariffs & conditions

All prices are net amounts in euros (€) and are plus all statutory taxes and duties (e.g. customs duties) and expenses that are not included in the installation fee (*) and must be clarified individually with the customer. For special constructions and necessary hardware components, which demand higher requirements due to local conditions (distances, heights, etc.), the prices are agreed individually.

(*) The installation fee includes the on the same day carried out final assembly of the hardware components, commissioning of the system and training on the system. The way there/back from MWS to/from the customer is included each up to 250km from/to Innsbruck. Services beyond this are to be agreed separately.

(New systems) Financing option title sponsorship

Title sponsorship is new to our portfolio and has been available since spring 2022. In essence, it is about a sponsor financing a MWS system for a location and, in return for the duration of the cooperation, acquiring the right to give this location its name / brand name in all MWS content. In return for their financial services, sponsors receive a link to their name / brand with the location they are supporting. They appear as namesakes for the sports venue they sponsor, for example "Royal Pro Billiard Sports Arena Innsbruck". Word combinations in the title of a location are well suited for sponsors to connect the brand (e.g. "Royal Pro"), target group ("Billiard Sports") and region ("Innsbruck"). Whenever the name of a sponsored location is mentioned in MWS content, the name / brand of the sponsor is also automatically mentioned and thus advertised.

  Locations commit to their sponsors, in particular, to regularly participate in MWS sporting events (tournaments ...) in order to create media presence for their sponsors in live streaming, announcements and reporting on the MWS website and the MWS social media channels. Title sponsors also receive the current MWS advertising package, which includes banner ads and a general presentation of the sponsor / brand. Multi-year commitments are recommended in order to reach the target groups of the sponsors in the long term and to establish the desired connection between the title sponsor and the location permanently.

  The agreements between locations, their title sponsors, and MWS can generally be individually coordinated with regard to the amount of sponsorship and terms, as well as costs for the locations. Of course, locations and sponsors can also agree on further cooperation that goes beyond what MWS offers. Our sample agreement provides the following model, which reduces the costs for locations to a minimum:

  • The sponsor pays to MWS € 250 per month over a period of 6 years (72 months). MWS provides the location with the system for this period of time. After that, the system becomes the property of the location without additional acquisition costs.
  • The location pays to MWS the monthly maintenance fee in the amount applicable at the time in question, as well as a one-time fee of € 2,500 for installation and commissioning of the system (plus the separately agreed costs for transport, customs duty, travel, and the like).
  • If the location arranges the sponsor itself, then the costs for installation and commissioning do not apply (with the exception of the costs for transport etc. listed in the point above).
  • If the agreement is reached through an external agent, then this is entitled to a fee of € 2,500.

Used systems

MWS used systems are MWS systems that have already been used and are offered for resale by the current owner. The owner is the respective MWS location / private individual or MWS itself, if it is a leasing return, for example. The most common reason for the return of systems is a change in the infrastructural options (e.g. relocation) at the respective location where the system is currently installed / was last installed. Used MWS systems can be purchased at particularly low prices, which are based on the condition and age of the used systems.

If you don't need a brand new system, a used system is a good choice. Good for your pocket, good for the environment. The buyer gets an MWS system at an attractive price, the seller limits his losses, and both together protect the environment by saving resources that would have to be used for the production of new systems. After all, all MWS systems are there to be used for their intended purpose and not to gather dust in a corner. (Used systems) Device warranties & compatibility

Used MWS systems are fully functional and technically flawless, but are not completely overhauled. Used systems may show minor optical signs of wear, but these do not affect the functionality of the systems. The components of used systems may not correspond to the technical status of current new MWS systems. Used systems are resold "as they are". Where absolutely necessary for the functionality of the system, individual components are refurbished or replaced with new ones. A one-year guarantee then applies to these components. A 5-year guarantee from resale or re-commissioning applies to the components built and renewed by MWS itself.

(Used systems) Prices, tariffs & conditions

The purchase price and any payment agreements must be agreed with the respective seller (current owner) of the used MWS system. The financing option title sponsoring is not available for used systems. The same tariffs as for new MWS systems apply to the one-time installation fee, the monthly maintenance fee and the monthly user fees.
