Access to our pro/am prize money tournaments is open to all MWS users and not just for professionals. Every MWS user has the chance to participate and win. Three tournaments of this kind were played last weekend.

The 21st edition of our traditional format Weekly High Run with the individual competitions 177 to 186 (!) ended with the triumph of the new overall winner Andreas Efler. The MWS coach from Hinterbrühl near Vienna prevailed in a thriller with the smallest possible lead of 1 ranking point over Tay-Dien Truong from Erlangen. With just 3 points behind Efler, Lukas Stamm (Berlin) made it onto the podium. Marcel Back (Erlangen), who landed 1 point behind Stamm, came in fourth. It hardly could be more exciting.

Weekly High Run is an international three cushion tournament series in which the players have to solve predetermined positions. If the point is scored then the run will be played to the end. The runs scored by the players are compared with each other, the highest series scored counts before the next highest, etc.

The two one-day tournaments of the Home Tour were in some cases just as exciting. Again, no player was able to defend his title from the previous Home Tour event. The three cushion competition was played on Saturday (January 30), followed by the five pins tournament the next day. Both events were broadcast live and freely available on our streaming platform.

DBU sports manager Markus Dömer won the three cushion tournament with the better set ratio ahead of Zoran Gajs from Vienna. Andreas Efler came in third.

The balance of power looked different in the following five pins competition, which Efler won with the best possible result by not giving a single game or set to his opponents, but winning everything. Congratulations on this rare feat! Veteran Ernest Driessen finished the tournament in a good second place. Third was Frank Ofner from Innsbruck, who made it onto the podium for the first time at a Home Tour event and defeated MWS CEO Jimmy Riml in the decisive derby.

In February these are the weekends 13/14 and 27/28, all details can be found on our dashboard.
